Natural Date: Not quite sure, I would say August 2009. My last texturizer was in May 2009, but instead of putting another one in my hair, I just went natural.
Why Natural: I was tired of putting texturizers in it (I use to put relaxers, but I switched to texturizers since I thought it was “less damaging”). I wanted it to grow longer. Plus I was a little tired of always having to worry about sweating my hair out.

Favorite Hair Product: Ha! I use too many hair products, but I will try to narrow it down to the ones used more frequently. Here it goes: Jojoba Oil, Shea Moisture’s Deep Treatment Masque, Giovanni’s Direct Leave-In Conditioner, Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise, Silicon Mix Bambu (I know, silicones, but it leaves my hair so soft and smelling great), and finally real mayo with an egg and vitamin E.
Best thing about being Natural: I am finally getting comfortable in the skin and the hair that GOD has given me. I no longer struggle with identity issues regarding what race I should act like or be (since I am bi-racial). I am learning to love the way the GOD made me to look and the person who He wants me to be.
